The team at DeFrancesco was amazing. It all started from reading other great reviews, to the quote recieved from Scott. Don't underestimate the supervisor Sarah, who does work herself not just stand around watching ( as some supervisors do ) and her hard working crew. They do a great job and make sure the property is clean when completed. I would highly recommend DeFrancesco for any roofing, siding, windows you need. After receiving several quotes from different roofing companies I decided to go with The DeFrancesco Quality Roofing Company out of Derry, NH. Stephen, Scott and the complete crew are all truly good, honest, hardworking, and awesome people! The materials (Certainteed Landmark Pro 50 year shingles with transferable warranty) and dumpster were delivered on a Monday and by the end of the day my roof was completed. The lawns were covered with tarps to receive the old shingles and screening clothes were placed to protect shrubs, etc. They did a fantastic job and cleaned up completely. This company goes the extra mile to take care of you! I was always watching what was being done and not once did anyone say anything which was amazing because I know I was in the way. Call them, you will not be sorry!

Last year we hired DeFrancesco Roofing & Siding to replace the roof on our home in Haverhill, Massachusetts. They did a wonderful job stripping and replacing the roof with high-quality materials. They completed the job on time and on budget with great workmanship. I dealt with Scott and Beverly a number of times and they were wonderful. Friends of ours also hired them to do three other roof jobs that I’m aware of, and they are all very pleased with the jobs that were done. This year, I hired DeFrancesco once again to replace the siding on my home with vinyl siding. I had Defrancesco Quality Roofing put a roof on my second floor gambrel additional in 2023.

Scott came out to take a look around with me at what i wanted done. He was very easy to talk to and work with.

The work was scheduled, but they actually came a couple days eary which was great because if you remember...2023 was a wet year.

They got the roof on in one day, cleaned up and were done.

The work was good, the people were great, and the price was right!

I would certainly recommend Defrancesco to anyone looking to work with honest roofing professionals.

My introduction to DeFrancesco occurred the day I watched one of their crews install my neighbor’s new roof. I talked to the friendly supervisor, Mike, while the work progressed. He showed me some of the materials they were using and answered my questions. The shingles and vent pipe flashing were much better than what had been originally installed by the builder. I was impressed by what I saw.

When it was time to replace our roof, I called several roofing companies, including DeFrancesco. Ed Owen, one of the DeFrancesco sales representatives, answered all of my many questions and showed me samples of the various options. He spent at least an hour at my house and we met again at their office in Derry. Throughout the 8 months, whenever I texted Ed with requests or questions, he always quickly got back to me with an answer. usually within minutes. The price that Ed quoted me for the work, the generous warranty, and the quality materials, all convinced me to hire DeFrancesco.

In addition to the roofing, DeFrancesco made 5 vinyl siding repairs to our house. I had been wanting to get those problems fixed for years. The repairs came out better than I had expected.

In August, DeFrancesco replaced our front porch roof and 16 pairs of shutters. The porch repair was surprisingly complex. Because our builder had made several serious mistakes installing the roof on our front porch, it had been leaking with every rain and snow thaw since the day we moved in.

First, George and Mike, the carpenters, removed the decorative 3 sided railing intended to make the roof look like a balcony. Then they stripped off the old roof, including the plywood, drip edge, and more. Basically they took it down to the framing, which fortunately was pressure treated lumber. Then the hard work of rebuilding began. The results look fantastic. The roof now has a gentle slope, and it was shedding rain within hours of its completion. A big part of the challenge was installing the new vinyl railing which had a total of 6 posts and 32 balusters. It looks much better than the original.

In summary, I am extremely happy that I chose DeFrancesco. Our house looks much better and is finally 100% watertight. I strongly recommend DeFrancesco.

I was already in the market for a new roof for our home and I happened to notice that my neighbor was having their roof replaced. I stopped by while the workers were there and had an easy-going conversation with the supervisor. The supervisor handed me their card and told me to give Scott a call and Scott would come out and price out the job. I gave Scott a call in September, and he came right out, took a look, and offered a straightforward pricing proposal that was right in my budget. Other roofers that I had looked at were charging outrageous prices for the job, so DeFrancesco was a really welcome change of pace. Fast forward 6 - 7 months (Spring 2022), and I called to get everything rolling. Beverly got me scheduled and told me when the crew would arrive. The supervisor arrived right at 7am, as Beverly had said, and the dumpster at 7:30am, the workers by 8/8:15am and they were tearing off shingles by 8:30/8:45am. It was a solid day of working and the wind was blowing pretty hard, so I give this crew major respect for working as hard as they do despite the conditions. The roof looks great, Scott and his team were true to their proposal, and I am a happy camper. There were even a few pieces of siding that took a hit (siding is as old as the house) so they cracked a bit. From the start, Steve made the process of choosing a contactor an easy one. He listened to our ideas and made suggestions that we did not even think of...all of which we wound up going with. We were recently in the market for a new roof and since this was a big expense, it took us awhile to choose the right contractor to do the work. Scott at DeFrancesco came by and sat with us explaining the materials they used, showing us color samples, and offering suggestions as to which color would look good on our house. He suggested that we come down to the office and pick up some samples to bring home to help with our decision. 

After choosing a few colors we called the office to ask if there were any houses around we could swing by and look at and Beverly provided us with a few addresses. This helped a great deal with our decision. This kind of service made us feel we made the right contractor choice. 

Mike and the crew showed up at 7:00am. While he walked around the house explaining to me how the day was going to go the crew set up and it wasn't long before they were tearing off the roof. Throughout the day Mike kept me informed of their progress and made sure that they were meeting my expectations.

My wife and I recently purchased our first home a 1930s colonial in Manchester. We knew the roof needed to be replaced but opted to wait until after a full gut renovation to address the roof. 2x4 rafters with a 1x6 ridge sagging like crazy under the weight of five layers of shingles. That is 10,000lbs. everyone I’ve told that to can’t believe it hadn’t collapsed. I had the pleasure of working with Steve’s guys over the past couple years on an ongoing commercial project and new well their capabilities. Steve came by the house and climbed up and sat on the ridge and said simply we need to tear this all off and start over, I said I know can you believe there is five layers of shingles? He said the rafters the ridge, it’s all compromised. I felt ashamed I didn’t go after the roof first before putting so much into the renovations below. We descended the ladder and went into the discussion of cost, he ended up writing up an estimate right there. I entertained 3 other estimates all came in significantly higher by noticeably less confident contractors. The crew showed up bright and early and took the roof right down to the sorry rafters in one day. The next day they reframed the roof up over the old rafters using them as a working platform to install a new ridge beam and 2x10 rafters and all new sheathing. After spending night two under a tarp the third day the crew installed all new architectural shingles over premium ice and water shield and underlayment. Day 4 the gable ends were re sided and the metal trim work and soffit installed. Day 5 consisted of re sheathing and roofing two small lower roofs and reassembling a fence they needed to take down to make clean up more efficient. Thorough, efficient, professional, patient, and over achieving are some of the ways Id describe the crew. We were blown away by the transformation our little house underwent. Couldn’t be happier to have chosen Defrancesco as our contractor. We wish to extend our sincere and heartfelt thanks to Steve and foreman John for straightening out our little house and for sticking to your estimate despite all the curveballs. We highly recommend this company.

I Sat down with the owner Stephen DeFrancesco and worked out a plan and price, he gave me a few products to look through. A few weeks later after a little research I sat down again with Stephen and finalized a re-roofing contract. Within a few weeks I got a call from Stephen asking if he could have a crew start on my house the following Monday. The materials showed up the Saturday before and the dumpster that morning. The crew removed my existing roofing and systematically laid down my new roof in about 11 hours(almost 4000 square ft). The crew did a very good job and cleaned up the sight completely. The next day my wife noticed some shadowing on my garage roof. I notified Stephen and he showed up with the roofing Rep. the next day. It was described to me as a bad batch or different batch of shingles. The following Saturday they stripped and re-roofed the garage. All work done was completed as described in the contract and the sight was kept clean at days end. I would rate the work at 4-1/2 stars but did not have that choice. I did have to have them come back for minor touch-ups.

We had a very large roof re-shingled by DeFrancesco Southern New Hampshire Quality Roofing & General Contracting. Every member of the crew was professional and courteous, as is the owner Stephen DeFrancesco.

Stephen took the time with us to go over the roofing options available and explained all about the materials that would be used in the job, and answered all our questions. We were very impressed with him and that the crew got this roof done in just one day! The results are just gorgeous!

Additionally, we added a side job onto the project by having a staircase rebuilt in our garden. It was falling apart and we worried that someone would get hurt on it. Now we have no-maintenance material and a great looking new staircase that is the showpiece of the garden.

Finally, we have to attest to the excellent job Stephen’s crew did on re-building a good sized back deck last year, again with no-maintenance material. Our back yard looks great because of Stephen and his crew.

Your crew followed up the estimate by performing everything you said they would do

in the most difficult conditions. I just couldn’t imagine anyone working on a roof in the summer heat of July 2010, but they did.

They were careful of our plants and the things on our deck, they cleaned everything

Thank you for a job well done and in record time. When Fred and I met with you we were very comfortable with the explanations you gave for the problems we were

dealing with and the solutions you suggested. We were confident in your knowledge

and were pleased with the way you presented yourself and your company. We had 6 estimates and your price was very fair and you were far more thorough than the

others. Most importantly you were the best informed and experienced.

In addition, your crew deserves the highest praise. They conducted themselves in a professional manner throughout the entire process. They worked in 90+ degree

weather and never wasted a minute. The roof looks very nice, the shingles are

uniform in position, there are no ripples or anything other than perfection. The work they did is exceptional. They cleaned up each day and that also was done thoroughly.

(I still can not believe they were here only 2 days considering that they had to strip

the sheathing.) Regarding the energy saving shingles, I can attest that they do make

a difference. With my old roof, as soon as you put your head into the attic on a hot day there was no air at all. You could not breathe. With this new roof I can go into the attic on a 90 degree day and stand up and you could remain there if you wanted to.

After the completion of the roof and how satisfied we were with the overall job I am happy that we had your company replace the 2 sections of siding that had been damaged for years. That was done so perfectly that you can not tell where the pieces had been replaced. Also, the door that you reframed looks like it was the original.

I have recommended your company to a few people and will be happy to continue. You deserve the business and those who choose your company will be happy they did. I can’t thank you enough. I hate winter, but at least this year I won’t have to worry

about it.

When my family needed to replace our old roof, we shared similar concerns as others who have gone through the process of finding a good and reliable contractor.

We worried if our final cost would overrun our roofing estimate, the length of time needed to complete our job, and what kind of people would actually be doing the work.

I am happy to say that our worries were completely unfounded.

The crew that removed our old roof and installed the new one was very professional, hardworking, well coordinated and extremely polite. From start to completion, our roof only took two days to install. They did a very thorough job cleaning up debris at the

I wanted to thank you and your crew for an absolutely great job on the roof of our 150 year old colonial in East Derry. You guys exceeded my expectations and am very fortunate to have contracted with such a professional company.

Our old roof was very worn, probably close to 25-30 years old, with many shingles

falling apart. It leaked from all the flashing points of the chimneys and had no proper ventilation. Along with the roofing shingles, we knew we needed to have the roof sheathed with plywood and all the lead flashing replaced.

We got quotes from five contractors, including one which did my barn roof about

seven years ago. Besides you, none made me confident in their quote. Many used subcontractors, some mentioned possible additional charges and two wanted a significant portion of their quote paid before they started. In this economy, I didn't

want to take any chances. I felt that the others had the possibility not being able to complete the job or have some issue that would cost me more upon completion. You

on the other hand had everything in order, including up to date copies of your liability and workman's compensation insurance policies. You took no short cuts in the

materials used in my job; top quality shingles, real plywood and galvanized nails.

After presenting your quote, you noticed that the cupolas on our barn were in bad

shape and you offered to replace them as part of the quote for no additional fee if I provided new ones. Would have been nice if the guys that did my barn years earlier noticed that they were not going to last, but they turned a blind eye until the job was done.

It took your crew of six to eight men over four full days, with the temperatures about

95 degrees, to complete the job. The quality is exceptional. The sheathing, protective layer, shingles and flashing were installed very well. When it became clear that a ridge vent would not be able to be used due to the post and beam framing of my home, you installed roof vents and a couple of power blowers at cost.

There were no surprises with you and your crew. They did a great job and cleaned up after every day.

The time you spent on your first visit to our home to provide us with an estimate and

to explain in detail the work that would be completed was truly appreciated. We were given a great understanding of the services we would receive and the quality of

products that would be used.

The DeFrancesco roofing crew should be commended. They were always professional and extremely pleasant to deal with. At the end of each work day, we were amazed by the amount of work they had completed and how they left the area around our home completely free of any type of roof debris. We also have to thank you for suggesting the Aged Redwood shingles. They add a beautiful touch to our home. We never realized how a different color roof shingle could make such a wonderful difference.

My wife and I got several roofing quotes, did much research and decided to go with DeFrancesco Quality Roofing, Siding and Windows. Steve (the owner) came to our house, took the appropriate measurements, told us about his business philosophy, answered all of our questions and provided us with a huge selection of product information and samples, and provided us with a comprehensive written estimate. After more education on our part, we followed up with an after hours visit to his showroom (thanks Steve) to get into specific details. We decided to go with the Landmark Pro shingles in Colonial Slate. The crew arrived on site at 6:45 AM and worked until 8:10 PM. (I couldn't believe that they worked for over 13 hours with just a lunch break.) Mike was the foreman, Walter (lead installer) and their team did fantastic job! They certainly knew what they're doing from set-up, through installation and clean up. The pride that they take in their work was evident and attention to detail was great! Mike took pictures before and after and answered my questions during the installation. My roof required approximately "37 squares" and they had to remove two layers prior to installation on this two day job. They inspected my plywood (happy to say it was in good shape on this 48 year old house) and added additional nails to the plywood to ensure it was secure before the new installation. I paid the exact same price that Steve quoted on his estimate. Throughout the entire process, Beverly (in the office) did a nice job keeping us informed and following up as necessary. I highly recommend Steve DeFrancesco Quality Roofing Siding and Windows! We're thrilled that we've also chosen Steve for our upcoming replacement windows and siding! This turned out to be an easy choice after all but it can be scary when you're on the front end getting estimates not knowing who to trust and if the price is fair or not. This was a win win situation for us!

We recently had our roof replaced by DeFrancesco Quality Roofing on 6/1/21. If your a homeowner, you know the anxiety of having to make a major decision of choosing a company that you trust with replacing a roof. We got 4 estimates from local roofers. Two of them didn't even give us an estimate because all the plywood had to be replaced. Scott came out, looked over the roof and we were quite surprised at the estimate. We were very happy with the price, especially since the price of plywood being what it was. From the time we got the estimate till they could get out to do the job, plywood just kept going up in price. Concerned, I made a call to Beverly and she assured me that they would honor that price.
